InfluEngine ("we", "us", or "our") operates an AI-powered influencer intelligence platform that enables marketing agencies and brands to discover, analyse, and manage relationships with social media creators. This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the InfluEngine platform, including the creator discovery tool, command dashboard, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Brand Partner Information: Name, business email, company name, phone number, and details provided via our Request Access or contact forms.
• Campaign Information: Brief details including target demographics, budgets, and brand goals — used exclusively to operate our AI matching tools.
• Creator Profile Data: Instagram username, biography, follower count, media count, engagement metrics, and profile picture retrieved via the Meta Graph API / Instagram Business Discovery API. This data is limited to publicly available information on Business or Creator accounts.
• Technical Data: IP addresses, browser types, operating systems, and usage details collected automatically as you navigate the site.

Meta & Instagram API Data

InfluEngine integrates with the Meta Graph API and the Instagram Business Discovery API to surface creator profile data. This integration is governed by Meta's Platform Policy and Data Policy.

What we access via Meta: We only request and store data that creators have made publicly available on their Instagram Business or Creator accounts — including username, biography, follower count, post count, and profile picture. We do not access private messages, personal contact information, or any data beyond the scope of approved permissions.

API Permissions used:

• instagram_basic — Read basic profile information of the connected Instagram account.
• instagram_manage_insights — Read engagement and audience insights for the connected Instagram Business account. Used to display performance metrics within the InfluEngine operator dashboard.
• pages_read_engagement — Read engagement data from connected Facebook Pages.
• pages_show_list — View a list of Pages managed by the user.
• business_management — Access business-level data required for the Business Discovery API.

Creator profile data retrieved via the API is used solely for internal business intelligence purposes. It is not sold, licensed, or shared with third parties. For more information on how Meta handles data, see the Meta Privacy Policy.

How We Use Your Data

• Creator Discovery: To search, display, and analyse creator profiles from Instagram based on brand-defined criteria.
• Market Intelligence: To generate estimated engagement rates, pricing benchmarks, and audience analysis for influencer campaigns.
• Platform Operations: To operate, maintain, and improve the InfluEngine platform and its features.
• Audit & Logging: To maintain activity logs for security, compliance, and operational auditing.
• Communication: To send service notifications and critical platform alerts to authorised operators.

We do not use your data for third-party advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making that has legal or significant effects on individuals.

Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: Trusted vendors who assist in operating the platform (e.g., hosting providers), under strict confidentiality obligations.
• Legal Compliance: If required by applicable law, regulation, court order, or government authority.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
• With Your Consent: Any other sharing will only occur with your explicit prior consent.

Data Retention

• Saved Searches & Creator Lists: Retained until deleted by an authorised operator, or upon account termination.
• Activity Logs: Retained for up to 90 days for security and audit purposes, then automatically purged.
• API-Retrieved Creator Data: Not stored permanently. Profile data is fetched live on demand and cached transiently for session-level performance only.

Upon termination of access, all associated data is removed within 30 days, except where required by applicable law.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, or disclosure — including encrypted credential storage, HTTPS enforcement, and access restricted to authorised operators only. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond within 30 days.

Instagram Creators: If your data was retrieved via the Meta Business Discovery API and you would like it removed from our records, contact us at the email below and we will process your request within 14 days.

Cookies & Tracking

We use only strictly necessary cookies for platform operation (session management, theme preferences). We do not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or analytics services such as Google Analytics.

Changes to This Policy
